We raised £1605.90 to support Cancer Research!

The fundraising linked to the 'Race for Life' came about all because two parents visited Mrs Tanner one day and asked if she could add an item to the school newsletter telling people they were running in the race. They hoped they might find some more sponsors if this happened. Mrs Tanner happily agreed and also felt our school could also do something to help raise money to support such a worthy cause. She asked the staff what they thought and they all felt it would be a good idea too. Together they planned a sponsored 'Fitness for Life' activity for all the children to participate in and Mrs Tanner and Miss Rowse also decided to enter the race in Bristol too (but Mrs Tanner only walked most of the way!) The FBI knew what was happening and they joined in by holding a cake sale to help add money to the fund. Soon lots of other Mums, Carers and friends added their names to the list of people running in races in Bristol, Cardiff and Cheltenham and suddenly a small idea had grown into a big event. We raised the spectacular amount of £1605.90! Thanks go to everyone who contributed in any way. This proves that working together we can achieve great things.
